Project · Data Migration
Migration of banking data from eight Oracle and SQL Server sources into a new Snowflake model. ELT with Azure Data Factory into a raw SQL Server layer, then Azure Databricks for the transformations.
What I did
- Built Azure Functions that unified ingestion from Amazon S3, Azure Blob Storage and on-premise directories, writing the same validation traces the rest of the pipeline relied on
- Implemented checks that compared the loaded data against the original sources in Data Factory, not only against the previous step
- Designed validations that ran after each transformation in Databricks, because a step can produce the right table structure with the wrong values
- Wrote format validations in the Data Factory cleansing stage and in several of the Databricks transformations, with Spark SQL and Python
Result
Migration delivered in 10 months.
Project · Anti-Fraud Module
In-house product for online payments. Fraud detection started as a rules engine, too rigid to catch the patterns, so an AI model was added to score transactions using signals such as geolocation and regional fraud statistics. Microservices with CQRS and event sourcing, with an audit log that traced each transaction end to end so a confirmed fraud could be reversed.
What I did
- Built rules for the anti-fraud engine, from a functional specification written by banking security experts
- Designed parts of the architecture that made the AI model and the rules engine share the same decision flow
- Wrote unit tests for the model integration
- Wrote load and stress tests with JMeter inside Jenkins and TeamCity, finding the breaking point that the infrastructure team used to plan load balancing and capacity
Result
Module delivered in 8 months.

Web platform for SAP Business One, an on-premise desktop ERP, giving Colombian clients in healthcare, transport and hardware retail browser access to their own installation, on the SGI Solutions module framework.
What I did
- Built customizations in C# and .NET on the SGI Solutions framework for SAP Business One
- Recreated the SAP Business One interface as an Angular web application, with the ERP still hosted on the client's own servers
- Built proofs of concept for a centralized, multi-tenant SAP Business One, where clients would sign in with their own credentials and host no infrastructure; the model was not adopted

Machine learning system for a logistics client, trained on 25 invoice formats to read new incoming ones automatically, replacing manual mapping.
What I did
- Ran proofs of concept with Amazon SageMaker and spaCy to understand what machine learning could do
- Built a system that read scanned invoices with OCR and identified the values automatically
- Prepared the extracted data for the client's Certified Public Accountants (CPAs) to review before their IRS filings
- Built a web application where reviewers corrected what the system had read, feeding every correction back as new training data
